Medication Pump Challenge

When your medication pump is beeping, now what do you do?

For over five years I've had my indwelling pain medication pump. During these years there has been no troubles and so I thought this was the greatest choice I had ever made because my pain level was much lower and my medication intake also was very much lower than when I was taking the oral medications. I knew that eventually some time after about five years this pump would need to be replaced. I wasn't looking forward to having to do this but the time was suddenly upon me. My doctor asserted that on m next appointment, we would discuss the replacement of the pump. I wasn't concerned and thought this was ok.

What I didn't know at the time was that my life would take a sudden unexpected turn that would drastically change everything.
