Is this just thing,
The desire that you bring?
Thoughts of you rushing
Like the hours of the evening
I need more than just a kiss
And false promises that were missed
By guzzled down shots in a glass
Sweet talks and uncontrollable laughs
Devoured from the past
Then I opened my eyes
I hoped the craving would end
But then again
I could still eat
An insatiable appetite
I'll take another bite
Just tell me when
But wait
Is this just a thing?
A euphemism of a fling
Or are we using protection
To guard our hearts
As a deflection
Of true thoughts
