An Individual Notion: Togetherness

Because a team is made up of individuals - a sports poem.

The most opportune endeavor,
Being safe and alone,
Has us savoring forever
With the occasional moan.

What's driving that steam ship
Or moving that train
Is each celebrated blip
On our posthumous brain.

But sports owe their treasures
To concepts and training,
And those meaningful pleasures,
Putting team first, while gaining.

'Cause each athlete, each team
Is truly accountable -
Without it, a scheme
Is awfully surmountable.
