A Worthwhile Allegiance - As a Whole

Science and religion can be healthier than we ever surmised - a poem.

Many folks struggle
Amid torture and pain in their lives,
Never knowing if they were meant
For improved treatments or cures;
And during these long, hated ordeals,
They often stumbled onto reliable workers or confidantes
With whom they could discuss their problems
And together find possible remedies.

But mostly, these were merely gut-checks
And the ample sharing of sympathies.

In today's apparent and cognizant world,
Science and religion play the utmost roles
In determining whether we enjoy happy
And joyous outcomes.

Adjusting to the roles and character
Of these institutions
Can strengthen a cause by tenfold,
And deliver even the most shallow misanthrope
From circumstances of vitriolic proportions...
