Mary Liked to Sing Songs Loud

Her teacher said, "Now Mary, Your singing makes us proud!"

Mary liked to sing songs loud,
She sang all night and day,
People could hear Mary sing,
Her songs from miles away.

Her teacher said, "Now Mary,
Your singing makes us proud,
But, to sing a special song,
You need not to sing so loud."

Mary practiced singing well,
And worked hard every day,
Her singing grew much better,
In an extra special way.

One day Mary sang on stage,
She soon became a star,
Her songs became a lesson,
To children near and far.

If you sing, write, dance, or draw,
Listen to those who know,
Practice hard and you will see,
Your special talents grow.
