Gentle at Heart

spending holiday with son's family in UAE

Gentle at heart
always smiling
with quick little steps
she runs here & there

when I say something
she listens intently
with her baby talk
she then challenges me

once she closed the door
could not open it again
took my hand to the door
forced me to open it again

when I ask her something
she blushes & hiding her eyes
with both of her hands
runs to the corner of room

she loves to go out
to look at camels, large date trees
to look at the cars speeding towards Dubai
with fascinating eyes

she is with her parents here
a town called 'Al Ain' in the desert
which belongs to Abu Dhabi
In the peninsula of UAE

We are enjoining each other's company
but in three weeks' time
it is time to say 'good bye'
she is our grand-daughter 'Chaneli'
