A poem about the coast and what I love the most. |
| I do so adore the roar of the sea, the sound of the waves as they pound on the shore. I so do enjoy the befriend of the wind; When it tickles my ear not sure what I hear. I do so delight in the tingle on my face. with my feet in the sand and a book in my hand. Maybe it's that magic that makes the summers fly by. Or the beauty of the eastern sky while I watch the sunrise. Forever I belong to the beach. I vow to keep my life always held close within its reach; not only for the sunset walks, or the friend to friend talks, but also for those quaint little shops that line the boardwalks. Perhaps, it's the way they make me laugh; the fishermen on the docks. Or the sound of the tide as it swirls through the rocks. The food, the music, the sailboats waving goodbye. The noisy birds, flying high. I am also fond of the parties there on the beach; where the dry land and the ocean meet; like two close friends just getting together. It's a nice place to be with another romantically on a summer's eve. This is why I love the sea. |
