Growing Feelings

Poetry about love that just keeps growing

Attracted to you,
body and mind.
Can't stop my feelings,
just growing with time.

It kills me to love you,
'cause you don't feel the same.
So I embrace my emotions,
hold onto the pain.

My heart won't listen,
when my head says no.
I know this is wrong,
need to let my love go.

But knowledge doesn't stop,
my heart from beating.
Perhaps it's a crush,
and my thoughts are fleeting.

I fear that it's not,
and I will push you away.
So I try to keep quiet,
so you'll want to stay.

So please don't leave me,
though my love is strong.
I'll keep fighting my demons,
saying their wrong.

I can't help myself,
I want you to know.
I've told you once,
but my feelings still grow.
