He has Risen: The view from one of Jesus' Disciples |
| They had told me, Lord, That you were seen. But not to me, For worthy, I'd not been. Beaten and nailed, Left to die alone. I said I didn't know You, I cried 'What have I done?' If You came back Lord, What would I really say. You would see my shame, For the fear, I felt that day. A distant figure Beckons to me. Is it someone I know, I just cannot see. Down on my knees Lord, For I now know Your face. Please forgive me, As we meet in this place. You ask if I love You, I can love no one more. I will tend Your sheep Lord, Without love, we're so poor. I ask, please don't leave us, Lord, not on our own. Please send us Your Promise, To keep when you're gone. |
