I wrote this for a friend, Erika, about how much I appreciate our friendship.

How lucky I am to have you
An angel by my side
A friend who means the world to me
A friend who sees inside

I've shared with you my troubles
And you have shared yours, too.
I've confided all my "stuff"
And was supported just by you.

I see it in your eyes

You care and are concerned for me.
I understand that that's your choice.

Thank you; you're appreciated.
I love you; you're so kind.
When I opened my eyes in the darkness
You, my angel, I did find.
