We were young and so in love
And went walking in the cool night air
And felt the gentle breeze blowing in our hair
And listened to the rustle of the leaves
from the trees above.

We held hands in the moonlight
And watched the clouds drift by
As we sat in the park on our favourite bench
Hand in hand you and I.

Together we walked by the lake in the shining light
Reflecting our love
And heard the rippling flow of the current below
On the water our shadows glow
In the moonlight
