this is a letter to me for a contest...

Dear Me,
First off, I want to welcome you to the year 2016. And it is my fondest wish for you, that you have a better year this year, then you did last year. And that you find true happiness this year, as I know you have some stressful things coming up this year, that you will need to keep your cool with to get by them.
Last year you pushed your self to join the NaNoWriMo contest, and you did, to my amazement and joy. I was so thrilled when you did that, I truly was jumping for joy on that. However, And I know this was and it wasn’t in your control, but you did the prep stage for it, but it stopped there due to your life during the month of November and December.
I see you wrote several pieces last year. I was pleased with that as well. However, what did you do with them? Did you submit any for publication?
I also know that you have a secret stash of Adult stories you have been writing in your personal file. I know nobody but me knows about them, so I wont go into any further detail about them, as I know you want them kept private, for personal reasons.
Last year you did enough reviews to get your membership renewed for another year. That alone says a lot about you.
You participated in many contests, groups, and made some friends on WDC. This, believe it or not, is a major accomplishment for you.
I know you are trying desperately to loose weight, and you are using your resources in the VA, mainly your primary physician, and a dietician (or Nutritionist, if you prefer), to assist you in doing this. You go to your local you fit gym several times a week. I am pleased to say that your hard work and dedication has paid off, as I know you lost weight. I won’t say how much, due to a fear of what you would do to me if I did. But I was thrilled to see it.
I know this part isn’t something you would like attention drawn to it, but I feel it’s a major thing. You got hearing aids, and you came into this year with glasses on. The aids are small enough where no one notices them, or would question you about them, you know they are there.
You also achieved getting a new apap machine( yes that was better than the old cpap machine you used to have). According to what you have told me you are sleeping better. Unlike you old machine this one is adjusting( hence the first a instead of the c. which stands for adjustable continuous pressure something or another versus the continuous pressure machine)
While, yes, it is true that your primary has put you on diabetes meds. I feel it is needed and necessary. Not everything in your life is liked when it is necessary.
I know that you have had a family emergency this year. It was your niece. I know that she is fine now, and I wont go into specifics at all( again it’s the fear, as you are a mountain of a guy and it would hurt).
All of these things are what has happened this year, not all are bad, not all are good, but all just are. Also remember as I am growing older, and balder, I tend to remember less and less each year, and my reasoning for saying this is that there are things I haven’t remembered to put in here that have happened to you this year, but I cant remember them, but will most likely remember them in the coming weeks and months, and of course I will remember at the end of the year when I will write a new letter to you recapping this year.
Now that I have touched on all that has happened last year, here is what I expect of you for the coming year.
LOOOSE WEIGHT!!! First and formost! Your health means a lot to me, more than I could put into words. Pay attention to what the doctors say, and think about what you eat before you eat it, not afterwards when it is too late. No you better not start purging!
You need to make your self more humble, which will at the end result in more friends and more social interactions with people that become more meaningful and nice.
I need you to focus on your reviews. I know you haven’t done many during the end of last year as you were busy. I hold that as an excuse, I have no room for excuses. Besides you have until October to renew again.
Write more! Then edit and send out for publishing something. Use your talent, or you will loose it like your musical talent you last.
I would like you to participate in NaNoWriMo again this year, just like you did last year. The difference is? You may ask…. You WILL complete each and every part of it.
As far as the other things go. There really isn’t much you can do about the hearing aids, glasses, apap, or the metformin( diabetic meds). Just keep them up make sure you go with it make it a habit.
I am very happy about this up and coming year. I have a lot of hope for you. I have a lot of hope for your continued happiness, and improved health as well. I want you to never stop, never give in, but do it carefully, and never lose faith with who you are.EVER!

Most respectfully,

Me.
