Heartfelt Contradictions

This is just a simple poem that gives insight to certain struggles

I look into the skies
Thinking how my heart lies
How can I still love you
After you abandoned me too
How is it I still care
When you wouldn't dare
To stay by my side
Choosing to confide
In someone else
Not caring how I felt
I'm reduced to tears
Feeding everyone around me
With lies
Saying I've moved past those years
Telling them to leave me be
Watching as my heart dies
Wishing to hear you say
We will be ok
It was all just a dream
Please repair the tear in the seam
Before I completely unravel
Stop the gavel
Before my sentence is complete
Help me to stand on my feet
My time is flying, I'm almost at my end
No more lying, I'll no longer pretend
I need you in my life
