an attempt at poetry |
| Sparrows may sing, Kingdoms may rise, You stay unchanged. Everlasting, You seem so wise And yet deranged. In your heart, the universe is felt. On your shoulders, its burden... Forever will you stand, Like the hero who fell, Alone and unforgiven, Eternally making amend. As time passes, everything dies, From red flowers to shining stars; Yet never eased will be your sorrow, And through my drifting eyes, Beyond the clouds of war, Gleams the beauty of the weeping willow. |
