Addiction and the cause and effect of what it does to everyone involved

se took over and changed his ways
Searching for drugs consuming his days
He said he was fine, had it under control
That's when things started taking their toll
The needle in his arm felt so right
He didn't even realize he had lost the fight
She found him that way with a glaze in his eyes
Thinking about it now, every time she cries
She places the rose upon his chest
Wondering if she gave it her best
She tried to help with his addiction
Sadly he chose to not pay attention
She turned to leave, and saw them there
The children left behind, without a care
She grabbed them both into tight hugs
