Possibly a short children's story **edited 8/5/15 for typos** |
| There once was a little girl who loved to pretend. Every day she would travel from her backyard to England. She would dress up from head to toe Then head out west for a do-si-do She would ride a horse on a cattle drive And grin as cowboys tipped their hats as they rode by. She'd dress in a royal evening gown Her head adorned with a glittering crown. She could dance at the Queen's ball Or she could be a solider patrolling a great big wall. She could instantly travel to outer space And make friends with an alien race. She rode along the King's road, And she helped Robin Hood steal the wealthy's gold. She was mighty! She was fierce! She was awakened by true love's first kiss! She found adventure wherever she looked All of which were in the pages of her favorite books. Everyday was an adventure with new places to see For she was a book lover, a book lover indeed. |
