I know I need to be doing something, but I can't remember what it was....

I like this site, I really do, but honestly I need real publishing credits to get the grant awards I'm seeking. Furthermore I am better at the technical writing to secure the funding than the creative writing that the "grants" and so-forth underwrite -which majorly sucks! I work for my municipality, my poetry society, my local farmer's market, my friends, my children...but I never seem to advocate for myself. Sincerely, I've had my fill. I'm tired of working for everyone else for their benefit. I just want to be me, for myself, for a change.
