Hypocrisy

June entry

Josie and Martha always helped out at the local animal rescue fair.

“We’ve always loved animals.” They told everyone.

“I simply can’t bear to hear all those cruelty stories,” Martha added, “it breaks my heart.”

“Same here.” Josie agreed “I can’t understand why anyone would want to hurt an animal.”

They worked hard all morning.

“It’s nearly lunch time, Josie. Do you fancy a bacon butty?”

“No thanks.” she responded “I’ve got my heart set on BBQ’d steak.”
