Many times in my life

I've had to say goodbye

& all of them were hard

I didn't want to let go

But I had no choice

Tears fell

& hugs were shared

Some goodbyes came unexpectedly

Others came to soon

Some were prepared for

Others we never knew would come this early 

People we've had to say goodbye to

Were older

Others to young

Tears fell

& hugs were shared

We didn't want to let go

It was hard

But God called them home

& I know their happy

Where they are

But it still makes me sad that their so far

I didn't want to let them go

But I had no choice

I'm finally letting them go

So they can celebrate in the Holy Place
