Do you work with another writer(s) to create? Or do you prefer to work alone?

So, I was working late into the night with my best friend over a story we have been meaning to full flesh out for about 4 years now... And I realized, I would have never stuck with the characters and plot for as long as I have if not for her nagging and the enjoyment I get out of working with her.
