eyes

your eyes have taken my heart

your eyes are as bright as the twinkling stars
on a cloudless night
everyone can’t help but to stop and stare
at the beauty of the earth
uncovered in the night sky
gracefully dipped in moonlight

yet
i wish
i could bottle up the stars
and keep them in a jar
all to myself
because
maybe
if they stare long enough
they might fall in love
like stars fall from the sky
or the sun falling from its place
at the end of each day
to let the moon shine
they might give you their heart
and the bottled up stars
with their promises to you
like i already have
a long time ago
