Infatuation...the root cause of heartbreaks

Dunno why you are on my mind,
No matter how many times I try to leave the thought behind,
It's utterly frustrating to know , that you mean a lot to me,
Deep down, I do know its not meant to be.


You are too good, too cool,
Then why does my heart and mind want you like a fool?
We belong to different worlds , having contrast personalities,
This very fact is deliciously ignored by my naïve mentality.


No matter how many times , I try to leave you behind,
You always find a way , an excuse to stay by my side,
Is it a mere attraction, or destiny at play?
I guess, it's rightly said, whatever is meant to be will always finds its way.
