Immortal World

live and remember!

This is a planet titled "The Earth"
and parts, as we see it, are full of mirth

Laughter and joy can be heard all around
and some things, like hope, make not a sound

Leaves on the trees whistle and sigh
as they reach, way up to the sky

The waves in the ocean crash to the shore
who, in their mind, could ever want more?

The leaves when they fall will wrinkle and die
and, much too soon, so will you and I

The waves when they crash fade back away
our lives, like them, can never stay

But you must remember that all is not lost
because we are immortal, with a slight cost

Look to the future, and be sure to know
as long as we're remembered, our lives will not go

We can live forever, so you can see
all of us here, both you and me

Keep a sharp eye out and act with thought
so that your time here won't be for naught
