"Christ-Sighted"

His opinion is the ONLY one that matters.

[Romans 8:28] "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, and have been called according to his purpose."

[1 Thess. 5:16-18] "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."


When situations hit us hard,

and we're forced to make a choice.

It's all too easy to hide away,

and miss that still, small voice.

We take in others opinions,

as conflicting as they seem.

And find ourselves floating

in a sea of endless grief.

Our minds look for alternatives,

and we search a different route.

But then become so consumed,

by the consequences to rise about.

Before long our hope is gone,

and we're left with what to do.

We don't see the ray of sun,

because we've taken the wrong view.

No matter how we feel,

the outcome is in another's hands.

Stressing only hurts us more,

and weakens our faith to stand.

God calls us to seek Him,

in the midst of troubled times.

And promises that when we do,

our joy will be revived.
