Awaken

I wrote this poem while watching sleeping beauty with my niece

Mesmerized by the touch of my lips
She stares with enchanted eyes,
Sending sparks through my body,
Fluttering my stomach with butterflies.

More beautiful than lilies in Spring
Her elegance shines for all to see.
The moon and stars come out to
Play but are jealous of her beauty.

The smoothness of her skin, softer
Than the clouds, across the bluest skies.
I drown in the sea of crystal clear waters
Of love shining through her eyes.

Nights that once were cold
Are now comforting and warm,
Because each day is paradise
When she's lying in my arms.

Our love is that of many,
Possessing a few imperfections,
But with a heart of an Angel, she
has a cascade of selfless affection.

My life is now worth living. I
have found the one I admire.
She awakens my heart and fulfills
the needs of my soul’s desires.

My life is now complete
