a kyrielle: a relationship poem |
| we came together, two as one two separate yarns now inter-spun but life returned, I tried, you quit— what’s knit can always be unknit I wish you could see what we wrought two threads combined, a complex knot that’s smooth as fabric—we lost it what’s knit can always be unknit and as you leave, nothing erases— my yarn still bonds to yours in places but though we’re scarred I must admit what’s knit can always be unknit |
