A Sun hat,
A beach mat.
A yellow dress,
My hair a mess.
The warm sand,
A drink in hand.
The salty air,
A lustful stare.
A deep sigh.
The day goes by...

The empty road.
A broken pane,
The pouring rain.
A gloomy song.
Every thing's wrong.
A gas station,
A conversation.
A road sign,
And I feel fine...

The dusty attic,
The FM static.
Some old books,
Hanger hooks,
A rusty fetter,
A cherished letter.
Suppressed woes,
A box of photos.
An emerald ring,
Memories of everything...
