A philosophical, prose poem about life in general. |
| Changing the past belies an ominous And onerous trend - Heavenly dreams do fail to blossom, Taking root oh so often in non-fertile, usurious earth, And challenging our stomachs with that heady, Inglorious pain of unmatched disappointment. But nearly approximating this anguish and distaste Is our productively generated will from good fortune, Kindly bestowed upon us By the whimsical chimes of destiny... For we will likely taste and experience everything In this rivetting roller coaster, If we dare to endure the results And face the truth of life's tragic, yet merciful scepter. |
