The Apple Cart

A poem defending a hands-off U.S. foreign policy.

Do not tip the apple cart:
It's not time for a brand new start.
Just measure up, the status quo
Does, in fact, mean we show!

Pound for pound, our every gain,
Implies some growth, amid the pain.
But pure and simple, just relax,
We simply ride the horses' backs.

It always pays to know the dream
Doesn't favor the other team.
So pick a route that's tough and stable
That shows that we are lean and able!
