A poem on why it's not easy being green. |
Why is it not easy being green? Is it because in this color people do not like to be seen? Or is it because when you're green, you feel as sick as could be From a car ride, pirouette, or a boat ride at sea? It's true green has its own unique hue And yet, does that not apply to the color blue, too? Perhaps being green is hard because you are different from the rest But have no fear in this; your difference will help you pass life's test. You can either be muddy, sad, sad dark greens, Or brighten to reflect the life inside your own genes. The difficulty of being green is only difficult to you If you insist on allowing that difficulty to continuously block your view. And so if you say "It's not easy being green" one sad day to your dog, I would suggest you check to make sure you're really not Kermit the Frog. |
