Life of a Leaf

Like a leaf on a tree
I change with the seasons
In the spring I bud
In the summer I bloom
In the fall I brown
In the winter I die
Plummeting ever so gently
To the ground below
Covered with the burden of snow
Frozen and alone and buried
As the snow melts away
I slowly disintegrate
And become part of the earth
Only to begin again
