Reason doesn't go down

In our history

As anything other than

The "leader to the tree."

All that we know

In our minds

Is what Elder has sewn

To make us blind,

Elder has altered

Books of history

To make Reason's

Character a mystery.

All he's allowed

Into those books

Are warnings to

Not even look

At Reason as he

Crawls on the ground

From Elder's curse,

Not making a sound.

Elder only says

That Reason tries

To take us from him

(and open our eyes).

That is all that is mentioned

In our "history,"

But we can tell all

of Reason's story.

Believed to be true

Even still by some.
