I look into your eyes ... (Form: Quatern) |
| Could I but Tarry Could I but tarry in your eyes amidst the blue, like gentle skies, I'd find the peace of heart that's pure, free of all doubts and thoughts unsure. The golden flecks of soft sunrise, could I but tarry in your eyes, offer me warmth. Your gentle glow fades softly all of life's shadows. To float within their ebony, a ship upon an endless sea, could I but tarry in your eyes; forever in another guise. Amazement sprouts each time I find how I can leave the world behind; For me, there is no greater prize could I but tarry in your eyes.
