A Whisper of Truth

Writing it for a contest but was really inspired bt the prompt. :D

Unformed words to rumble across your eyes
The light air that emerges is the only
Whisper of truth I need
You speak words unneeded
My ears are attuned to pick up
The way you hold your arms around my waist
And the littered smile in your eyes
Tossed around because
It seems to be all you can do beside me
Even when your eyes flutter and fall
And your arms sag away
Emotion pumps out of you
Like water from a cloud
You rest
I pull my fingers through your hair
Softer than a
Breeze in the middle of summer
The summer we spent
Side by side
Hot air
Cold pool
Your arms
I could have done without all else
But your arms
Are the only things I will ever truly need
You don't need to speak
Look into my eyes
You see my soul for what it truly wants
You've got to know by now
That it's you
All of you
Your hair after a long day's work
Your touch on a muggy day
The way you walk
So perfectly
And the only
Whisper of truth
I'll ever need
