Mustafa Malik

Introduction

I worked nearly three decades as a reporter, columnist and editor for U.S. newspapers. I write op-eds and journal articles and run a blog about U.S. foreign policy and international affairs. My writings have appeared in major U.S., Middle Eastern and South Asian publications. I also conducted fieldwork in about a dozen European and Middle Eastern countries as a research fellow for the University of Chicago Middle East Center and the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

I travel continually. My favorite vacation spots are in the Swiss Alps and the Indian subcontinent.

I’m now writing a book about the impact of modernity and globalization on the evolution of Muslim societies.
