Poetry speaks to the reader, so you tell me. |
| When In the Silence Reigns When in the silence reigns, the echoes of lost love The mournful wails and cries that darken skies above Mists and cloudy torrents, obscuring fear and pain The weeping scars and hurting with tears which fall like rain Waiting for the moment when sound the silence breaks Prattle fills the vacuum, appearance it remakes Happiness so forced a thing, the smile it hurts to hold The stilted conversations, cruel deception is so bold Betwixt grand delusions of cheerfulness and bliss Flow the fragile tendrils of love you sorely miss Scorn the constant chatter, discordance holds no gains Prefer the honest emptiness that in the silence reigns |
