missing your loved one while apart

I look up at the stars,

wondering where you are.

It's been so long since I felt your kiss

but it's your tender, loving voice that I miss.

We've never been apart so long

I'm trying my hardest to be strong.

Remember how

we'd stare into each other's eyes?

How sometimes we unintentionally make each other cry.

This separateness kills me inside.

I try not to let it show

yet the pain and fear continue to grow.

Remind me that you still care

and for me that you will always be there.
