The Warriors Have the Basketball!

About the Golden State Warriors basketball team and their high expectations - a poem.

Steph's Warriors have it in high gear,
His step-back three has just tied the game;
The Oracle fans shall continue to cheer,
As Coach Mark Jackson applauds that aim.

The basketball owners have built a contender,
Thompson, Lee, Iguodala, and the rest -
The Golden State Warriors are now a defender,
And the playoffs will show which team is the best.

As Curry and Thompson pour in the three's,
Those Splash Brothers combine for a backcourt supreme,
Allowing Bogut and Barnes to dunk as they please,
While O'Neal and Speights add support to the dream!

This high-powered offense can go a long way,
With excellent coaching and a defense that's strong.
There's simply a tendency to give balls away,
With turnovers deadly and decisions so wrong.

Although Lee and Bogut must play up to par,
And Barnes and the bench form a critical key;
Curry and Thompson must reign from afar
For this team to have a champion's legacy...
