Wrote it one evening after some reflection. May 3,2013

And I cried


When I saw you again that night
It filled my heart with such delight
All the time I spent alone and blue
Were forgotten the moment I saw you

But like all the others I loved before
You left my heart so sad and sore
Through tears I looked up at the moon
As I walked back to my lonely room

And I cried
Sad and all alone in my room I cried
With your book in my hands I cried
In the darkness on my knees I cried

I made a promise I made a vow
No one will get near my heart now
I softly pressed your book to my lips
And I cried

When I saw you again that night
It filled my eyes with a lovely sight
All the things I needed to say to you
All the dreams I felt were coming true

But like all the others I loved before
You left my heart shattered on the floor
You just left like you did not even care
That I waited so long for you there

And I cried
