The basket of fruit arrives
Pristine and appetizing

Jenny takes out her favorite
A ripe pear

She takes a bite
And savors the deliciousness

She carefully removes the seeds
And puts them in a bag

Planning to plant them in the spring
And the following Christmas
She will have pears to candy
Cook
Eat
Bake
and devour
