I Have a Voice

The characters we all create have voices. All you have to do is listen.

I came into existence on a whim
You shaped me up and gave me a name
But don't stop there; I can be so much more
Keep me with you and watch me soar
I'll show you the world that I come from
I'll tell you my goals and my fears
I am nowhere near done; you'll get to know me over the years

I'll take you home to meet friends and family
I'll take you through trials that have shaped me
Through love and loss, and memories I cherish
Please stay with me and don't let me perish

Nothing is a secret; I'll share it all
But I am not at your beck and call
Do you believe that you shape my destiny?
This is my life, you're merely observing
And making notes in your own wording
