Demons

She has demons like the rest of us...

She smiles today

but dreads the night

where she'll lay alone

with nothing but her own thoughts

and the demons waiting to rise again.



So she tries to stay awake,

to not let them escape,

but fatigue takes over

and she plunges into darkness

doing things she won't remember.



The demons whispers to her

"Your never alone,

not in your mind."
