A poem about love.

I sat here trying to write to you
A great piece of literature
Something Shakespeare like
All I came up with was this
It’s my best poem
Because it’s all about you
And somewhere in between the lines
I wrote out my heart

I’ve prepared to simply be ignored
Or like always pushed away
But that doesn't mean I'll give up
I’ll chase after you
Like some shooting star
You lit up my world
It misses you all the time
So I'll bring you back again

I've been here hours and days
Wanted to make this perfect
Something magic like
This is the end result
These are my favourite words
'Because they're written for you
And somewhere in between the lines
I wrote in my soul
