I need to find ways to improve a company's e-mail security and privacy.

Recommendations to Other Departments

Know who the vendors are and allow e-mail access to them at          all times.          
         Set up an online cloud for each vendor to allow postings back          and forth, as well as access to other employee that might need the          information. Fast and Easy
         Only use company e-mail for work related purposes. Personal          e-mail has a greater chance of carrying on a virus.
         Always update anti-virus software on computer to ensure that          all e-mails are scanned for recent viruses.
         The best thing you can do is follow all company policies and          procedures on the e-mail.

Recommendations to Vendors

Ensure no viruses are passed through your e-mail.          
         If sending an encryption e-mail be sure the department knows          how to access it.
         Only send company related information such as bids, quotes,          and other files. Keep it professional.
