The Trick To Love

Some say the trick to love
is to never let it find you,
it's easy to get over missing out,
Like trading in your dreams for
expectations.
I know the hows and whens,
but now, and then,
it's all I think about.

Maybe this world's a treasure to
be discovered,
so the scenery should never stay the same.
But when it doesn't live up to your
imagination,
we only have ourselves to blame.
It's only the idea of the adventure
we fell in love with anyway.

The trick to love is to never let it find you,
you'll get used to telling yourself
it's easy to get over missing out,
and yeah, I know the hows and whens,
but maybe now, and then,
