What has the world come to.

The night falls and everyone is asleep.
She stands under a tree
Wearing a see-through nightgown.

As she stands under that tree,
she wonders why there is so much hate in the world.
She wonders why people steal, rape, and kill
She wonders what the world has come to,
And what’s it going to do next.

As she stands under that tree,
She wonders why are there so many bystanders
Who watch the death and destruction.
She wonders why no one stops the
Murder and sin.

As she stands under that tree,
She wonders why she hasn’t done anything.
Is she another bystander?
Is she just as bad as the people who
Steal rape and kill.
