We walk a fine line

But still stumble.

Our thoughts consume

And our actions crumble.



Like dust that just

Withers away.

And souls  who’ve

Lost their way.



We’ve taken our place

In a nation of silence.

Denying what lies on

Our conscience.



Living our lives, but

Afraid of the resistance.

Praying for a hero’s

Resurgence.



Those willing to stand

With due diligence.

Those willing to fight

And go the distance.



Together we can experience

The resilience,

Of wisdom wearing it’s

Crown of balance.



A nation of silence.

A war of words.

Simultaneously lost

In understanding,

That we must wear our

Shield for a new beginning.
