Standing with my back against the edge
Not caring about the things you said
Contemplate just falling backwards
Thoughts and feelings floating skywards

You exist within, I cannot take it
A perfect image of your body naked
Struggle to let you go from heart
Wishing to go back to the start

Needless is as needless does
Without you, there is no love
Tormented from within this mind
It pains me that you could be so kind

Negative loops on into infinity
Darkness creeps in and stains divinity
Demoted, from a stance of faith
Into open arms, quelled with rage

Forgotten memories of times shared
Blossoming, even though I’m scared
Cannot dwell on what could’ve been
It’s time to purge, make this soul clean
