Breaking point a political writing

Old wounds remain open and still weigh
As new wounds open every day

Will we allow them to destroy us
Or for a better country will we press

We call this the greatest country on earth
I believe were about to be tested for what were worth

To make it through will take all of us
Without any exceptions or bias

Water supplies running out
Trying to get fuel is a bout

Never ending racial tensions
Need new Power source interventions

Financial crisis and poverty that would amaze
Food that’s killing us in a hundred different ways

A vial political environment that destroys
Constant distractions because of toys

And we cannot afford the lifetime
It would take to do them one at a time

Educate yourself and stay informed
Get involved and let yourself be transformed

I believe the coming days
May be our darkest phase

But if we unite as the bravest
This hour may be our greatest
