Poem about Snowy's peculiar appetite for flowers |
| My poodle Snowy Has a peculiar appetite! She eats every flower that blooms But only if it's white! Daily as she walks She scours the garden In search of a stalk With something white on top. Perhaps they represent a threat As they share the colour of her coat Or maybe being a girl She just likes pretty things Whatever the reason, It's a strange habit indeed For the moment a white flower blossoms She pounces with lightning speed Petal by petal she munches Stripping the plant bare and green Until there is no blossom Where a flower once could be seen So I've come up with a plan Perhaps a suggestion That I hope will work To beat Snowy's obsession I'll plant flowers of many colours Except of course white And hope that for these She has no appetite!
